Golden Boy

It's been over a month since i have had time to sit down and create some blog material. This graphic Design education is killing me, so tonight i decided to put boring school projekt aside (it is actually not that boring) and draw something WITHOUT thinking about, wich method or theory i am actually using. A illustration without report or a design manual, illustrating simply for the fun of it. So i grab my Wacom pen and i started sketching something, and after three and a half hours of pure fun i am done. I really hope you guys enjoy it, i definitely did. And now i better go to sleep, cause tomorrow i ha to get up early and enjoy my Typography class :DPeace!

Support Breasts!

Today, the 19th October is the international breast cancer day. People all around the world are supporting the fight against this terrible sickness, and so am I. Unfortunately i know some people that suffered from this disease, some survived some didn't, my thoughts go to all of them. If you can please help against the fight against breast cancer, well not just breast cancer, the fight against cancer is really important. There were an estimated 12.7 million cancer cases worldwide in 2008, the number is expected to rise to 21 million by 2030, we can not let this happen, so go and find out how you can help, and do it!!

another we all love them."

Dragon Ball, the Anime that stopped the world!!

I think i was something like ten or eleven years old, when the Spanish TV started to play these series, and because i lived really closed to the border we watched as much Spanish as Portuguese television.
The story of little Goku, a kid with a monkey tail and really hardcore in the martial arts, searching for the seven dragon balls, spread really fast around the kids and was more popular then soccer, and soccer in Portugal and Spain is a pretty huge thing! But the funny thing was that the parents started to follow the series too, some would use the excuse that it was because of the kids, but the truth is they enjoyed it, i think, even more than we did. Everyday at 6 Pm. my little town would stop for 30 minutes, all the TV's in every house, bars and so on, were tuned in the same channel,  it was Dragon Ball time. Later it came to Portuguese TV too, and the fever spread as fast trough the whole country as it had in the little town, and suddenly, the whole land would stop for 30 minutes everyday. I have never seen anything like it. Better animated series came later on but none of them ever had the same impact, as Goku and friends did. That is why, in some kind of nostalgic mood, i let you with two of my favorite characters, Freezer and Picolo!
To all the Dragon Ball fans, a huge hug!!

Peace!

Sponge Bob's hard life!!!

Name: Bob
Age: 37
Job: Actor in some kids show

Bob: " Really, i am really tired of this life!
I hate these little kids jumping on me all the time, and this job as an actor... common' do you really think I enjoy running around with a butterfly net catching jellyfish?? But I have to do it dude, got a rent to pay, and some addictions I prefer not to talk about. Money my friend, it's all about money. When i first started i thought it was cool, you know being funny and making the kids laugh. Krusty, you know the clown from the Simpsons, he warned me, "You are going to get really tired of these little devils!" he said, but i didn't listen, and now i am 37, the world is in a huge economical crisis, and playing the stupid sea-sponge its all i ever did, so i guess i have to put myself  together and get ready for one more season of stupidity."

Japan Style

My dear Readers today i leave you Naruto and Kakashi, two characters form the Japanese anime series. I know a lot of people think that i am a little bit too old to be watching kids shows, but to be honest i don't really care about what they say, this is a great show, amazingly well drawn and full of exciting scenes.
So i got inspired and here is the result of Anime nerding!

Back to the Fairy tales!

Ever since i was a kid, I always loved this fairy tale. The little red riding hood, is a story that always made my brain start to think about the characters, the dark forest, the bad wolf hiding behind the trees waiting for the little girl with the red hood. The idea of a wolf that could talk, eat an old lady - still hungry enough to dress himself as the old lady so he could eat her grandchild. -Omg this is amazing material! And then i loved to distort the story; what about little red riding hood being armed with a gun, or being friends with the wolf? What about if the wolf was hers and she was a psycho that went around killing people and feeding them to her new pet?
I know i know, it is a good story for kids and i am kind of ruining it. Sorry, i let you with the illustration then :D !
