So last week was carnival in Aalborg!
I had decided that this would be my last one, i kind of start to feel a little old for going around in a costume surrounded by 20 year old kids! But to tell you the truth, i think next year i will be there again, i love the drums, the samba rhythms, the sun (when it comes out), the beer, the way people are happy and respect each other, the peace and love, the creativity in some costumes, and not the least the 20 year old good looking people ;D
Something happens to people when they put a mask or a costume on, there are no differences, no race, no fat, thin or ugly, no smarter, no rich or poor... in the carnival parade we are all the same. People hug strangers, shout cheers to each other, laugh together, say sorry if they bump into you, something that does not happen in a normal city day life, it is like we are all brothers and sisters partying together, and that is what i love most on carnivals day!
We have been many things, Cave Man, Gum under the Chair, Old and Used Superheroes, Dog Shit under the Shoe... but this year, we did not had much time to prepare so we decided for something easier and faster, some coffee bags, straws to make some needles, liquid latex and a lot of face makeup that was all we needed to make our costume, 6 Voodoo Dolls and a Zombie, it came out pretty good actually and we had a amazing day, with sunshine, good music and good company.
This was 2012 Carnival, and if the world has not ended, next year we will be there again!
Here is the sketch of what we looked like, i hope you guys are doing well, and that the ones that were on this years Carnival had as much fun as i did, PEACE!!
Imagine this:
You just woke up from a coma, but something is really strange- there is no one around.
You go out to the streets, but the world is empty. It looks like a battlefield; only there are no dead bodies, you are really confused and wonder around town for a while; then suddenly you start to hear people screaming at you- they are waving and saying "Ruuun! Run! Hurry up!".
"That is strange!"; you think, why do they want me to run? but while you are pondering on this strange behaviour, another sound catches your attention. You turn slowly to find the source of it, and what you see is terrifying. A large group of people are walking towards you, but they walk in a strange way- there is blood all over them, and some of them are missing some body parts and certainly they do not look like they are friendly. A rush of danger washes over you, and not knowing why, you are running away from them to the other 3 people that keep screaming like crazy, "RUUUUN!".
You get into a safe place and they explain to you that the world has been taken by a virus, and everyone turn into "walking dead", and they eat other human beings.
So you 4 have to try to survive, you know that it probably will be some casualties and that probably the "hot" blond girl or the black guy will die, maybe even both of them, the other girl is not the prettiest but she is tough and probably you will fall in love with each other...
Wait a minute! Someone is telling me that this idea has been already used, in like about all the Zombie movies that have been made, oh! and that is a new one coming up, something like "28 Days later", but this one is called "28 Months Later"
Ok... just forget the story and enjoy the sketch then!

Today we were watching some Zombie movies, you know, a virus spread over the world, everyone gets to be a zombie, there are like five survivors, three of them die and the other two are rescued at the end by the U.S Army :D
Well, while we were watching a lot of people being eaten by a bunch of walking dead, Mathias, my professional geek friend, comes with the idea that would be cool if the virus woud spread to the animals, "Imagine a blue whale zombie!" he said! We had a good laugh imagining all kind of zombie animals, and in the end i couldn't stop myself from illustrating the Zombie Whale.
Mathias promised to get it tattooed on his upper arm, that would be kind of cool, so lets see if he keeps his word!
